Saturday evening our Theatre students were awarded scholarships at the 2021-2022 LA Pierce College Student Awards Banquet. This year's winners were presented their scholarships by Department Chairperson Michael Gend and Theatre Professor Shaheen Vaaz. Congratulations to Tomas Ciriaco (winner of the Robert Baker Award for Outstanding Overall Achievement and Academic Excellence), Engelbert Peraza (winner of the Odis Ball Award for Outstanding Achievement in Technical Theatre), Kayvan Shai (winner of the Jane Hawkins Award for Outstanding Achievement in Acting), and Megan Araneta (winner of the RoZsa Horvath Award for Outstanding Achievement in Ensemble Acting). Best of luck to our amazing students as they continue their educational and professional pursuits!!

Los Angeles Pierce College Theatre is a dynamic, transformative program with multidisciplinary classes, award winning productions, diverse stage opportunities, hands-on experience, and industry internships. Our curriculum is a two-year program offering an Associates of Arts degree and an Associates of Arts Transfer degree with specializations in acting, technical theatre and costume design. We train the next generation of theatre artists at LAPC Theatre.
